The SalsaCuse Music Crew
SalsaCuse is proud to feature top notch Latin music entertainment from the following guest DJs.
DJ JAM
"SalsaCuse Lead DJ and Music Coordinator"
DJ JAM (John A Mestre), from Binghamton, NY, has been spinining Latin music for over 30 years. John is the official dj and founder of SMAC - Salsa Music Appreciation Club since 2003. He is a native of Greenpoint, Brooklyn and his parents are from Puerto Rico. Latin music, Salsa music in particular has been a part of John's life since he was a very young child when he would go to the Teatro Jefferson in NYC to see Celia Cruz in the 60's.
Throughout the years John has expanded his musical repertoire equipping himself as one of central New York’s most popular Latin DJ. Well known in upstate (Southern Tier) New York for his "Noche De Salsa" dances he has made a name for himself as well as created a fan base. He is considered by his peers as one of the premiere Latin Music DJ's in upstate New York.
DJ Frankie
DJ Frankie (Franklin Gomez), from Rochester, NY, is already familiar to many Rochester area Salsa natives who frequent the Salsa dances at the Flat Iron Cafe and at the Keg sports bar and grill.
Although Columbian style Salsa is DJ Frankie's specialty, he regularly plays a killer mix of old and new school Salsa of all styles, uniquely tailored for hard core dancers.
DJ "La Maquina"
DJ "La Maquina" (Roberto Perez), from Syracuse, NY, a staple in the Syracuse area Salsa dance scene, brings heavy duty Cuban Salsa and Timba music like no one else can.
But don't worry, whether it's Puerto Rican, Columbian, or New York style, the intrepid "Maquina" is not afraid to rock the dance floor with classic favorites any "Salsa Dura" lover can warm up to.
Reflecting the wide ranging styles of Salsa dance music, and diverse Latin cultures, SalsaCuse is happy to bring you a comprehensive and diverse mix of Latin DJ entertainment talent for the evening's dance fest!
